We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Development and Community Engagement to join our team. In this role, you will spearhead our fundraising efforts, cultivate strong community partnerships, and lead initiatives that amplify our mission and expand our reach. Job Description:

As the Director of Development and Community Engagement, you will play a crucial role in shaping and advancing our organization's mission: to show and share the love of God as seen in the good news of Jesus Christ by providing integrated, affordable, and quality health care to those who need it most.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the long-term financial health of the health center through fundraising efforts.

  • Build and maintain clinic's presence within the community.

  • Provide oversight for clinic's marketing strategy to raise awareness and increase engagement.

  • Manage federal grants

  • Maintain compliance with IRS, federal, and state regulations related to fundraising, as well as internal and donor rules and requirements.

  • Serve as the database administrator for the organization's donor system

  • Maintain thorough record keeping for development

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB Qualifications Education, Skills, & Experience

Required Qualifications:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the above responsibilities satisfactorily.   • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years prior community outreach and fundraising experience.

  • Proven ability to write, compose, and present to public audiences at all levels of the community from local leaders to special populations required.

  • An appreciation for and an ability to successfully articulate the unique and focused mission of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate initiative, ability to work with others, and good professional judgment.

  • Ability to work independently and organize time effectively.

  • Excellent written & verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Attention to detail with demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with donors.

  • Knowledge of and well-skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
