Primary Care Physician (MD or DO)
Overview
In response to God’s grace, we desire to be a part of the redemptive work of Christ to the economically, socially and spiritually impoverished communities of West Central Georgia. We envision an incarnational ministry through a community of Believers who use their particular gifts to care for the poor and who bring them into their fellowship.
Our primary means for accomplishing this goal is through a health center which provides excellent care physically, emotionally and spiritually. We work hand-in-hand with existing ministries as well as help create new ministries as needed to bring Christ to the poor, crippled, blind and lame.
As a community of Believers, we envision and earnestly long for the heart of Christ to be developed in us so that we might truly love our neighbor and redeem lives in the communities in and around the west-central border of Georgia. If our hearts are not first healed by Christ, our labor will be in vain. All that we do is for the Glory of God.
Mission & Passions
Our Clinic exists to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and to demonstrate His love by providing affordable, quality healthcare for the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the underserved.
We remind ourselves that we exist to proclaim Jesus Christ as Lord and this not only for our patients but also to our board, and our donors.
Especially important is it that we remind ourselves to demonstrate his love to direct our daily interactions but also to assure that larger decisions are made with compassion.
The last portion of our mission statement - affordable, quality healthcare for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the underserved remind us that healthcare is a holistic mission.
As part of our holistic mission, we are passionate about integrated care. Our clinic serves the physical needs of our patients through internal/family medicine, pediatrics, dental, physical therapy, dietetics, and a newly opened pharmacy. We serve the spiritual needs by praying with our patients in office, and through pointed classes like sleep education, chair yoga, and Greyrock, a mental health support group and Bible study. Finally, we serve our patients emotional needs through behavioral health services like mental health/family counseling, social work, and substance abuse counseling.
We are also passionate about providing resources to our neighbors who are underserved. Our clinic achieves this in two forms, knowledge and physical. To introduce knowledge resources, our Wellness Center offers classes like Cooking Matters, 5 Weeks to Fitness, and Grow Your Food. These classes not only empower their students to learn about subject matters that will increase good health outcomes, but they also help to establish community which provides meaning and purpose for their lives. We also provide physical resources for our patients through our 1 acre urban garden. Through our Framstand Friday and Fruit & Veggie Rx Programs we are able to provide locally sourced organic produce to our community that struggles with food insecurity, diabetes, and malnutrition.
