Overview
Our Christian Health Services opened its doors in 2014 with the mission to share the love of Christ by providing high quality medical and behavioral healthcare. We were founded by a network of churches across our city that pooled resources together to show love for their neighbors in a tangible way. We have entered into several underserved communities around our area and currently operate out of six locations. Our team believes in providing the highest level of medical, behavioral, and spiritual care to all of our patients regardless of their income level or insurance status. In 2019 , we became a Federally Qualified Health Center and this step has allowed us to expand services and locations to better care for our communities. We hope you will consider joining our team.

Job Title — Primary Care Provider
Job Description
We are a growing provider team of 5 MDs, 3 NPs, a PA, and three behavioral health therapists working in some of New Orleans’ most under-served communities. The clinic was started in 2014 as a full-time medical ministry and was launched by a network of 120+ churches to demonstrate the love of Christ by providing high-quality primary and behavioral health care. We have grown from our initial Lower Ninth Ward site to include 5 additional sites, and we became a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in 2019. In 2024 we plan to make strides toward launching a dental mobile unit, launch a 340B pharmacy program, and grow and improve the excellence and efficiency of our integrated primary and behavioral health care home. At this time, our team is seeking a full-time primary care provider with experience and passion for primary care and clinic care in community clinics, including family medicine, med/peds, and internal medicine. We are an outpatient, ambulatory clinic. Our providers see from 15-20 patients per day for wellness and sick visits. We have 3 full-time behavioral health specialists on-site at three of our clinics, as well as psychiatry for many of our patients as needed.
JOB Qualifications Education, Skills, & Experience
Board Certified MD, DO, or board-eligible graduating resident; board-certified and experienced NP and PA
Experience evaluating and managing primary care medical conditions within standard of care
Provides outpatient medical encounters promptly and documents appropriately in the electronic medical record
Participates in quality improvement and risk management activities such as peer review, with the aim of always improving the quality of care
Coordinates care with an integrated team including medical, behavioral, and spiritual care
Teaches students and residents as opportunities allow
Supports the mission and values of the organization
