Our clinic was formed to address the growing number of people in our county without access to healthcare. Our patients are our number one priority. Our services are based on the most current healthcare guidelines where we offer you the highest quality of Whole-Person Centered Healthcare. We treat not only the physical, but also the emotional/mental, and spiritual health of our patients. We also track labs, orders, referrals, and hospital visits to coordinate care in a timely manner.

Job Title — Chief Medical Officer

Job Description/Responsibilities

1. Hiring the provider staff for the Health Center and ensuring that each provider is working to meet the Health Center’s mission and quality initiatives.

2. Working with the board and staff to develop and communicate the Health Center’s vision/plans for improving the health of the people living in the target area.

3. Working with the providers and clinical leadership at the Health Center to ensure that performance expectations are understood.

4. Developing of analytical tools designed to improve the health center’s clinical and service performance.

5. Providing leadership for the development of policies and procedures designed to guide Health Center’s clinical and operational activities, ensuring that clinic operates in a consistent and high-quality manner.

6. Provides leadership in communicating with other leaders ensuring that each receives adequate information to help them fulfill their respective duties.

7. Participating as a senior level manager in the development of Health Center’s operating plans and for providing leadership as appropriate toward meeting those plans and objectives.

8. Ensuring Health Center engages in activities designed to effectively improve the quality of its services.

9. Ensuring compliance with standards, laws, and regulations as created by regulatory and accrediting organizations such as BPHC, JCAHO, CLIA, OSHA, state and federal governments, etc.

10. Identifying the health care needs of the target population and communicating those needs so that program initiatives are created that are designed to meet the needs of the community.

11. Working closely with the CEO to ensure that all services at the clinic are provided at the standard of care.

12. Performing other duties as required to help the clinic accomplish its mission.

Qualifications/Experience

1. Computer literacy in internet use and Windows environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel with keyboarding skills of at least 45 wpm.

2. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with co-workers and community members.

3. Ability to serve as an advocate for individuals of all ethnicities, genders, ages, and backgrounds.

4. A comprehensive understanding of the medical and administrative issues involved in providing clinical leadership at a community health center.

5. Experience and demonstrated abilities for working in a multi-cultural setting.

6. Ability to strongly embrace and personify the mission of the Health Center through performing work in a whole-person way, providing for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of staff members and patients.

7. Ability to collaborate and interact with a diverse group of healthcare professionals.

8. Ability to organize, direct, prioritize, and delegate work appropriately.

9. Excellent analytical skills necessary for preparing financial, legal, and administrative tasks.

10. Excellent guest relations skills.
