Job Description ·
This position requires a pleasant and likeable person who is reliable and will work to ensure patients are scheduled or rescheduled, checked-in, checked-out, and facilitating the efficient running of a clinic. The ideal candidate will consistently model a mission centered service attitude and support and encourage team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice.
Scheduling, rescheduling, or canceling appointments as needed and providing appointment reminders.
Process inbound referrals.
Assisting patients to fill out information forms.
Communicating with the back-office team when patients arrive.
Entering and updating patient records concisely and accurately.
Verifying insurance on the date of service.
Collecting payments as needed.
Providing information to patients of various services offered by the clinic.
Maintaining patient waiting areas, office files and desk areas in a manner that is organized and represents a professional atmosphere.
Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, and faxing.
JOB Qualifications Education, Skills, & Experience
Capacity to build rapport, participate in team development, and motivating performance.
Able to work well with patients, staff, guests and volunteers in all departments within the clinic and the public at large.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven ability to follow through with assigned projects, identify problems and take initiative.
Excellent time management skills and able to multi-task.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Normal work environment is in an office clinical setting, which involves some physical risks requiring basic safety precautions. This position routinely requires sitting, standing, bending/stooping, operating a computer for extended periods, and lifting or carrying objects up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This position requires frequent walking throughout the clinic and may require walking up and down flights of stairs. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable qualified candidates to perform the described essential functions of this position. Must be able to provide personal transportation to meetings offsite from the clinic when required.
