Overview
Our Health Center was established to help demonstrate Jesus' love for the whole person through healthcare. Most of our patients are in poverty and nearly half are refugees from all over the world who have fled their homeland due to strife or other circumstances not under their control. Our patients speak over 40 different languages, with significant populations from 11 language groups. Our goal is to provide empowering ministries to demonstrate Jesus' love for the whole person to all who come to us.

Our mission is to provide high quality medical care, for the whole life spectrum, to all who need it especially the medically under-served, people in poverty, refugees and immigrants - regardless of insurance status or ability to pay - to demonstrate Jesus’ unconditional love for the whole person.

Job Description
The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OB/GYN) diagnoses and treats various medical conditions that impact women’s health. Their duties include diagnosing and monitoring illnesses and diseases, providing medical and surgical care in the clinic and the hospital setting.
Essential Job Duties
CLINICAL
● Diagnose and treat conditions that affect women, such as certain types of cancer and conditions like menopause
● Work with pregnant women to explain the childbirth process
● Perform routine checkups with patients
● Provide obstetrical services in the clinic and hospital settings
● Improve patient outcomes, and deliver quality care within practice areas as assigned.
● Provide high quality gynecological care for patients of Jericho Road Community Health Center
● Perform obstetrical and gynecological surgeries for Jericho Road patients at Kaleida Health
● Participate in obstetrical call pool with other Jericho Road physicians
● Follow up with patients regarding lab results or other medical care concerns
● Offer patient and family centered care in a consistent cost effective manner
● Ensure all clinical care is delivered in a manner that meets or exceeds goals and expectations for clinical outcomes, quality assurance standards, state/local regulations, and patient satisfaction.
● Provide patient care in a wholistic manner including attention to physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health
ADMINISTRATION
● Maintain electronic medical records efficiently and maximize resources
● Create a learning plan that includes familiarity with new research and changes to standard of practice
● Participate in quality improvement activities
● Attend required staff and provider meetings except when clinical activities prevent such attendance
● Maintain current certifications including all mandatory annual and CPR training
● Ability to adhere to professional code of ethics, and compliance to Article 28 and FQHC requirements
Qualifications
● Board-eligible or board-certified
● Completion of an ACGME accredited OB/GYN four-year residency program
● Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy, licensed to practice in New York State prior to start date of employment
● Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships
● Excellent patient-centered skills and clinical capabilities
